Message from Norton withdrawing sentence that used the descriptive characterization term "Potemkin Village"
From: Richard J. Norton This concerns memo OD-3390, requesting a Committee of the Whole meeting to discuss the Liscenco-Frenaye-Carlson charges against me. One of the lawyers I have advising me on this issue, has, in no uncertain terms, advised me to stay away from characterizations, and stick with the facts. I retract the phrase, "Basking in this Potemkin Village illusion of success may be briefly satisfying," as this is a characterization as opposed to a fact. I apologize for that phrase, and any other offensive characterizations. I'm sorry about that. I continue to offer to retract and/or correct any statement ever made that is factually untrue. 73, Dick Norton, N6AA |
