Norton Response to "Personal Attacks" Claim

It is somewhat difficult to respond to Director Pace's personal attacks claim, since there are no details of who the "other Board members" are, and what was said that was abusive.

There are a few possibilities:

1) In reviewing travel expenses, I saw a single expense report that had a hotel bill of $449 for a single night, and short-distance business-class travel. This was the only trip expense reports from that individual that I've ever seen. In a memo to the Board, I simply reported that I thought those expenses were higher than I deem appropriate for the organization, and suggested ways that future travel could be undertaken at costs closer to those experienced by the rest of the Board.

2) I am quite unappreciative of receiving false information, and have commented to the Board about another Director's periodic untrue pronouncements.

3) There is a contractor to the League, about whose specific performance on several issues, I have commented unfavorably. Other Board members have commented very unfavorably about different contractors.

Other than these two Board members and one contractor, I can think of no Board member that I have actually said anything about that could be considered criticism. This includes the 12 remaining Board members plus over 20 previous Directors with whom I've served.
